On Saturday from 9 am - 11 am MST (Denver), we will be livestreaming World of Warcraft over the Games MOOC YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/gamesmooc

Jim Gee in his keynote used World of Warcraft as an example. What terms or concepts would you like to see during this livestream?

Anything else in particular you would like to see about World of Warcraft?

I cannot attend the livestream. Will there be a link to view it at another time?

I couldn't attend the live stream, and I am familiar, to an extent with the game of WoW, I did watch the video this morning and it really cleared up a lot of things for me regarding characters, roles, and cooperative basis of several of the scenarios.

Yes, there is a link to the World of Warcraft tour. All livestreams are being done through the GamesMOOC YouTube channel. So if you would go there if you wanted to watch it live or to review the recording afterwards. www.youtube.com/user/gamesmooc

Ah good, someone else in the same boat. I've downloaded the starter version as well to see what all the fuss is about and am wondering now what I need to do to set myself up.

Do I select an American RP realm? (I think that was an option).

I'm in Australia so I'll make a special effort to stay up - but if you do decide to run one of the future sessions later in the day, that would be great as well :)

Hello colsim and grieve_physics,

We will be running on the Sisters of Elune US server and be on the alliance side. We will have a group of level ten avatars running around. If you create a character, please post their names here and we can invite you.

There are some limits to your starter account. You can check them out at http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/world-of-warcraft-starter-edition-account-faq#q2

Basically the limits are you will be limited to only a few chat channels and questing, dungeons and battlegrounds. You can also only level up to 20. Only someone on a paid account will be able to invite you to a group.

So keep us posted on your progress here. :D

Thanks Chris, I couldn't quite stay up til 2am on Sunday after a busy Saturday but am still hoping to be able to make it to upcoming excursions.

I'm in the beginner server at the moment as Adalita. I couldn't actually see a Sisters of Elune realm listed - possibly a result of the invitation thing I guess.

cheers

Colin
