Hi from the deep south,
I am interested in gamification in general and do not come in with a whole lot of prior knowledge or expectations. While I have done a lot of work in virtual worlds, I have not used them for gamification.

I am a teacher educator and am possibly interested in how I can leverage games for teacher preparation, but also how I can support future teachers in doing so.

Hi Ncl!

I think the idea of using games for teacher preparation is very forward-thinking. In what context would this occur? In school, before they receive certification? Or during in-service or other professional development days? For what would you prepare them?

Hi Ncl,

I think this is a discussion that we will be having all summer. I'm not sure if I saw you at VSTE's book event in SL on Monday? Gamification is going to be interesting... as it normally means levels, badges, awards and points. Were you thinking of using this type of system for teacher prep courses or having them play educational games or maybe even commercial games?
