Hello everyone,

My name is Dr. Farah Bennani, I teach microbiology (among other courses:)).
I have always been fascinated by Online Games and I am planning to use them in my classes.
I look forward to learn from each one of you.
Let's have FUN.

Farah

Hi Farah,
Have you ever used games or online simulations in your courses before? With microbiology, I would think there would be plenty of opportunity to enhance learning through such activities.

Well if there was ever a discipline that could use gaming, I tell my cultural anthropology students that the goal of the game of evolution is to "stay in the game," that is to get old enough and have offspring to carry your genes.

Interesting question for you Farah - have you considered using games for microbiology.

Plot spoiler: at some point during this MOOC we will see if she will tell us in detail.

Glad to see we have hard-science classes instructors here. Those are tough to teach (ok seem tough to me) and I think the students would like the games.
