Hi everyone! My name is Kim Gabelmann. I'm an Instructional Designer at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I'm looking forward to enhancing and increasing my game-based learning skills. I am an EdTech graduate from Boise State, where I was introduced to game-based and virtual world learning. I am a firm believer in "play": http://www.presentationzen.com/presentationzen/2010/03/we-were-born-to-play-play-is-how-we-learn-and-develop-our-minds-and-our-bodies-and-its-also-how-we-express-ourselves-play.html. I would love to find ways to convince our faculty to keep an open mind toward game-based learning, in hopes that some would see the value and want to explore the possibility of using it for their own teaching and learning. I look forward to learning with you all!
