Greetings,

I just heard about this course and was intrigued and interested in learning more. I am an e-Learning Resource Developer at Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln in the UK. I grew up playing video games starting way back with the Atari 2600. I am not a serious gamer at all and now only game on a mobile device from time to time.

I have participated in several other moocs including #Change11, Intro to Open Education (#ioe12) and First Steps in Learning and Teaching (#fslt12)

I'm pretty busy at the moment so probably will be limited in how much I can participate but I wanted to join in, learn what I can, do some lurking, and see how I can contribute.

It's quite alright if you are limited! We call it the "lurk and learn," just as you described. :D

I hope Olympic fever hasn't been running rampant in the UK, granted you aren't exactly close to London. Let us know if you hear about any nifty game-based things during the Games!

Just hearing and joining, reminds me of someone asking a politician in Texas if he was born in Texas, he said, "No, but as soon as I heard about it I came! LOL. Welcome to the group
