I teach World Geography and Sociology in a small rural school which has a very high poverty level. When I think about my students, I see a group that has been given the shaft as far as learning is concerned. My quest is to find a way to open up the world for them so that they understand that learning can be enjoyable.

I believe gaming would be an excellent strategy for doing this. I have found what I think might be a great online resource for my World Geography class (http://www.teachtci.com) that uses games for some of their activities. While the games are not digital, I have an idea that most could be converted. Therefore my long range quest is to see this done, preferably by my students.
