...and I've just gotten to introductions.
Well, I am Stephen Getter. I live in Denver, and work for FasTracKids in Greenwood Village, Colorado, USA. I create educational games for a living, although they are designed for simplicity since they are aimed at 3 - 8 year old children. These games work on Smart Boards (aka interactive white boards).

So far I feel a little out of my element with this MOOC, since I do not design a syllabus for college courses, and I haven't played any immersive games since I stopped playing EverQuest and WWII online about ten years ago.

Nevertheless, I am eager to find out what everyone out there is doing with games for education and with gamification of course design. I believe I can use some of these ideas with my work, and I also intend to use what I learn to help my wife Sherry Jones (an officer of this MOOC) with her course designs.

I still dabble in MMORPGs (startrekonline) and am working on getting ahead of you all in Minecraft as that will be the featured game in the fall. I have always liked games.
