Is there a tutorial someplace about how to post things to the forums? I keep getting stuck. These have been particular problems: 1) How do you embed a photo in a post? I clicked the photo icon and entered the url for my photo on flickr, but that didn't work. It pasted a [image] tag into the editing window, but nothing shows when I post it. 2) How do you "tweet out" a forum post? I know how to post a tweet about a blog post, but I have no idea how to link somebody to an individual forum post. Thanks for any help.

Hi Rivenhomewood:

I can answer a couple of questions really quick.

1) To embed an image in this forum, go to Flickr and click on an image you have uploaded. On the top left of the image, click on [SHARE] --> [Grab the HTML/BBCode] --> [BB Code]. Copy and paste that entire BB Code into a forum post, and voila, your picture shows up!

2) To Tweet Out a Forum Post, here's where you find the forum post link:

Click on that link to get your forum post link, then tweet it out~

Hope that helped (It was a headache for me to figure this out too),

Beaten to the punch again! Well, luckily for me, I still know a trick or two. Now, we like Flickr around these parts, so using the method Mind Erasure outlined is encouraged. However, there may be times where you just want to directly link an image, and I'ma show you how!

In order to use the Image button, you need the full address for the picture in question. This can generally be gotten by right-clicking the image in question and selecting Properties. In the Properties window, look for Address (URL).

Copy the entire address into the Script Prompt that pops up when you click the Image button.

Thus, http://www.sp-website.net/neorpz/index.php?action=dlattach;attach=25;type=avatar becomes !

Hope this helps!

Thanks for this. I too have been having trouble linking images and haven't been tweeting because I couldn't figure out how!
