I just discovered this site while researching for a course I want to turn into a semester-long game this fall (2013); I'll be teaching Intro to Programming at Cairo American College. I'm lucky enough to have a semester to plan, so I want to make the most of it.

I've been in teaching and technology for about 20 years and I am really excited about the possibilities of framing an entire class as a coherent game. Right now I'm reading everything I can get my hands on about building fun games and studying other courses that have taken this path, like Lee Sheldon and Paul Andersen.

I'm eager to get started and will have a hard time waiting until March 18th!

Bumping up, just to make sure I'm noticed as part of the III class. ;-)

Hi Matthew,
Nice to meet you! How is your intro to programming curriculum shaping up? I'm interested to hear what you use with your students on that level.
Best,

Steve
