One of my favorite Apps for iOS or Android has to be Dooors as it hits the core of educational gaming in my opinon.

iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dooors-room-escape-game/id490611105?mt=8
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kuhakuworks.DOOORS&hl=en

You are presented with a door to get out of and that is about the crux of it. There is little to no help and the majority of the time you are figuring through trial and error how to get out. I guess I am a big fan of Problem-based learning and Mastery Learning which is exemplified through this game.

I just got that app based on your link! My kind of game, reminds me a tad of a game I play on Steam, and also reminds me of the level up games of the 1990s. I am also addicted to the 4 pic 1 word APP I like making connections between seemingly non-connected subjects. Ever try this one:

4 pic - 1 1word app Right now I am stuck on #401, but they are randomized so it isn't your #401.

Ah, yes! I've played that as well. I only have so much patience, I'm afraid!

I always enjoyed the systematic nature of the game, though. Dooors or something like it might be a good way to teach logical troubleshooting skills to older students. That's something I struggle with sometimes in my classroom. I teach postsecondary technical courses.

It's always a fiero moment when I hear that little "ding"!

If you get a chance, we always love to have a great screenshot posted to the Flickr and shared here!

@grasshopper98 Good luck with #401! I just ran out of space on my iPod, so I'll have to try it another time.
