"Wa" in Japanese means peace, or harmony. The opposite of tension, an ingredient in all good games and stories. I am beginning a quest to apply games to language learning at a university level. I am sure there will be lots of hills to climb, dragons to subdue, and a long slog through treacherous territory. But with your help, and by allowing me to help you, we can all reach the land of Interest and Value, and slay the Boss of Boredom.

Welcome to the MOOC, glad to have you here. Are you really in Japan, one never knows as one can be anything they want to be in a virtual world. Regardless, I like your quest, for a long time I felt like I was in the "slough of despond" (Pilgrim's Progress) the more who join and take on the quest the easier the journey. To quote Pilgrim's Progress:
“This hill though high I covent ascend;
The difficulty will not me offend;
For I perceive the way of life lies here.
Come, pluck up, heart; let's neither faint nor fear. ”

Yes! I agree we need to slay the boss of boredom. The boss which sucks the enjoyment out of life like that Dark Crystal movie. Back to enriching people's lives through games and Gamification, my Least Satisfying Life Ever - Gamification Time blog post is a small post related to this.
