Hi everyone

I am a very new person to games in many ways although I do know a bit from working with a grad student on his dissertation in this area...

My quest in this venue is to learn more about the basics of using games in higher education so that I can help faculty and graduate students who might be interested in using them in their courses...

My background is faculty development and nursing ...

Please excuse my naive questions and I am appreciative before starting for what I can learn from the course and from the facilitators...

Ah there are no dumb questions flower, I have always told my students if they can think of the question they should ask it and that probably someone else wants to know too but not comfortable asking. I think you will find a lot here that will interest you and I look forward, we all do, to your participation. Jump right in! You don't have to be a gamer or know a lot about gaming, this is where it is all for you to explore. I think that giving faculty new and exciting ways to engage their students is very important, it is really (I teach at a community college) easy to think about taking the easy way and just teach the class again the way you did before because it worked, but really, one should change and update the class every semester with new ideas and concepts, the culture moves so fast now. Glad to have you here.

Hello larryselina!
Welcome to the GamesMOOC. How are you involved (or hope to be involved) with games-based learning?
