I will be seeing a lot of you in the discussions, have about typed off my fingerprint ridges but back for this Summer MOOC. I remember being so excited about this MOOC last summer and have really enjoyed the journey. I have spent a lot of time in Minecraft this last year as well as my own gaming. I recently spent time at the Denver Comic Conwhere I was one of 100 educators selected to participate regarding utilizing comics in classrooms. I had a grand time! Over 50,000 attendees and it is a benefit for "Comics in the Classrooms," they also has a role playing game session that I attended put on by Third Eye Games

I teach part time at a local community college in Colorado. I am an anthropologist and teach Cultural Anthropology and Introduction to Chicano/a Studies, as well as Anthropology of Religion and Anthropology of Folklore. I am a greying-techorat and have had an interest in game theory since the early 1970s. I play StarTrekOnline as "Dilt" a female Ferengi captain of the Starship Scordatura. I do have an avatar in Second Life (Mouze Warwillow) and one in WarHammer (Diltronic). I play Magic the Gathering online as well as playing Call of Duty and Minecraft.

The connective nature of this MOOC has allowed me interface with so many like-minded educators, I am actually re-designing my classes this summer to incorporate more exciting events into my classroom (online and F2F).

As we enter this first week I am researching guilds, and have recently joined one that isn't so much a guild for Minecraft as it is a "connectvist" site and accesses different server worlds, I am anxious to try the one that is a huge prison, apparently you try to behave so they let you out! Should be fun.

So how can I help you? You can message me or post here, I am on the MOOC on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I just want to thank all the individuals involved in the creation of this MOOC as well as the individuals who have contributed to its success, I have really enjoyed the interaction, GASP, I look at the fact I have done 560 posts in these four sessions (Summer 2012, Fall 2012, Spring 2013 and Summer 2013). I wonder how many words I really typed?

It has been great to "hop" around the forums and the journals to see what everyone else was doing. This certainly was a connectivist mooc, and I will treasure the connections I have made during these 15 months.

I have generously borrowed many of your links and ideas, I expect I will be a better instructor for having read every single post, my students are the ones who will have the greatest benefit of our interaction.

Thank you all. Time for the Grasshopper98 to hop back to Loma Chapulin (Grasshopper Hill)

As to my avatar name? Ah, my mother always told me that I was like a grasshopper like my dad, enjoyed life too much, that I wasn't an ant like her side of the family, and that in my old age I would freeze to death due to not storing away. Haven't frozen yet and 98 is my old professional stock car racing number.

Well, back to chasing $$ don't want to freeze to death! :D
